I often look for new content to consume and find it very handy when people share their readings.

So here it is, a list of books and podcasts that I read/listened to. I added personal notes for some.

⭐ = books I enjoyed reading more than others

Book Notes
Health & Longevity
Born to Run ⭐ Enjoyed the storytelling, brings you deep into tribal Mexico. Useful insights about running, feet and human body in general. If you like running or sport, definitely worth reading.
Boundless: Upgrade Your Brain, Optimize Your Body & Defy Aging ⭐ Information-dense book. Blueprint on everything that Ben (author) learned when testing things as a guineapig. If you're into health and brain performance like me, it's definitely worth reading.
Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art ⭐ So many things I didn't know about breathing and its impacts. It's something that we all do so many times a day and has a tremendous impact on our health and well-being.
Burn: The Misunderstood Science of Metabolism ⭐ Learned a lot of things about nutrition and the human body. Broke several truths and/or beliefs I had. e.g. when exercising regularly, your body adapts and reduces the amount of energy spent. It makes sense in an evolutionary perspective but I had never thought about it.
Lifespan: Why We Age – and Why We Don't Have To ⭐ Incredible. Do read if you're into healthy living.
Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity Didn't like the first part where Peter Attia explains his personal experience that led him to medicine 3.0. Found the rest exceptional. If you're into health and more precisely healthspan, definitely a must read. It's a trove of insights.
The Mindful Body: Thinking Our Way to Chronic Health ⭐
Why We Sleep ⭐ Learned a ton about sleep mechanisms and the science behind it. Knowing how important sleep is and how many hours you need can be scary though, as modern life distractions are often not pushing us to hit these goals. If so, good to put things in perspective.
Human Psychology & Behavior
Behave: The Biology of Humans at Our Best and Worst ⭐
Daring Greatly Book that makes you see more clearly how your actions, words and behaviours impact others. As a parent, there are examples that I found particularly useful.
Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion ⭐
Man's Search for Meaning ⭐ Most mention the psychological aspect of the book. I found the historical part also as interesting as its psychological depth.
Noise
Radical Acceptance: Awakening the Love That Heals Fear and Shame ⭐ The book explores buddhist concepts of loving-kindness and awareness to cope with negative feelings. There are useful, practical and actionable examples to illustrate each concept. Definitely worth reading if you sometimes experience anxiety or self-doubt.
The Elephant in the Brain: Hidden Motives in Everyday Life ⭐
The Molecule of More
The Relationship Handbook Short book that can help you better understand yourself and others, with a focus on relationships with others. Not a must read, several known concepts but good reminders. Probably good if you're starting with human psychology books.
The Road Less Traveled Shares some interesting examples learned through his practice as a psychiatrist. Wasn't life changing for me though.
Think Again ⭐
Words That Change Minds ⭐
Spirituality, Wisdom & Mindfulness
Autobiography of a Yogi Well told story of a well known figure in the recent spiritual world. Not so much an ancient wisdom book, more following the story of a man who lived a lot of spectacular things.
Awareness: Conversations with the Masters ⭐ Probably one of my favourite books on awareness and ancient wisdom in general. It's a recording of a conference given by Anthony De Mello. It's lively, fun and profound. I often come back to it to refresh my memory on the concepts.
Peace Is Every Step
Siddhartha ⭐
Smile at Fear: Awakening the True Heart of Bravery
Striking Thoughts - Bruce Lee's Wisdom for Daily Living ⭐ Insightful content. Wise words that makes you think and look inside yourself. I'd have found it even better with more real-life examples and a better narrative.
The Art of Being
The Complete Conversations with God
The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita Found it hard to listen to. I didn't find a thread to hold on to.
The Heart of the Buddha's Teaching Covers core buddhist teachings. Could use more real life and down to earth examples to relate better to these key concepts. Never really managed to enter into a 'flow' state.
The Power of Now ⭐
The Surrender Experiment
The Warrior's Handbook Found it really hard to read.
The Way to Love: The Last Meditations of Anthony de Mello ⭐ Another timeless wisdom book from Anthony De Mello. Less impact on me than his other book Awareness. Nevertheless, it's also a great book that makes you grow and rethink your core beliefs.
Why Buddhism Is True ⭐
Zorba the Greek
Stoicism & Philosophy of Life
A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy
Four Thousand Weeks ⭐ Great book that puts things in perspective. Gives you real numbers about your life or the life of people you care about. Made me rethink how I allocate time with family and friends and where I put my priorities.
How to Think Like a Roman Emperor ⭐ It's the most interesting book about stoicism that I read. It illustrates most of the stoic concepts with pieces of Marcus Aurelius' life. It's a blend of history and ancient wisdom. I really like how stoicism approaches things. It's in the top 5 of the books I come back to most often.
Same as Ever: Timeless Lessons on Risk, Opportunity and Living a Good Life ⭐
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck ⭐
Performance, Habits & Self-improvement
Atomic Habits ⭐
Can't Hurt Me ⭐ Impressive and contagious willpower. I often come back to its learnings when I need to push my limits in sport or overcome a difficult situation in life. I especially like the cookie jar example.
Peak ⭐ Insightful book on how your brain works. Provides practical examples on how people became experts in their fields and what you can put in place to become one too.

The Almanack of Naval Ravikant ⭐
The Four Steps to Epiphany ⭐
The Hard Things About Hard Things ⭐
The Innovator's Dilemma ⭐
The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of the Walt Disney Company ⭐ One of the best business autobiography I've read. Interesting story, good storytelling, actionable examples. Definitely recommend if you're leading teams.
Zero to One ⭐
Sales & Persuasion
Gap Selling ⭐
New Sales. Simplified.
The Sales Acceleration Formula ⭐ Practical and data-driven approach to sales fed with Mark's experience at Hubspot. Plenty of actionable tips. Useful read.
The Ultimate Sales Machine ⭐
Money & Investing
Antifragile ⭐ Love the antifragile concept. Once introduced to the reader, however, I had the impression that Taleb was going around in circles around that concept. Repetitions make things stick, true, but here I felt it was really too much.
Rich Dad Poor Dad ⭐ Masterclass on how to teach basic finance principles in a plain way. Robert made it so easy to grasp that you just want to apply the concepts straight away. Great read.
Skin in the Game ⭐
The Psychology of Money ⭐
You Can Be a Stock Market Genius
Biographies & Company Stories
Alibaba: The House That Jack Ma Built ⭐
An Autobiography: The Story of My Experiments with Truth (Gandhi) ⭐ Surprised to see he had kids so early.

History, Society & Big Ideas
Factfulness ⭐
Guns, Germs and Steel: The Fate of Human Societies Thick book with easy to understand examples.
Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow ⭐
How Democracies Die Interesting book on how leaders influence nations and the world. Good part on US politics and Trump, would have liked to have more examples and deciphering on other international examples.
Humankind: A Hopeful History ⭐ Changed my perception about human interactions and how they're intertwined and influenced by evolution. Overall it gave me a better understanding of human actions and reactions.
Sapiens ⭐
The 48 Laws of Power
The Dawn of Everything: A New History of Humanity
The Rational Optimist: How Prosperity Evolves ⭐
The Sovereign Individual
Science & How the World Works
A Brief History of Time
A Short History of Nearly Everything
Chaos: Making a New Science I had heard about the butterfly effect. Wanted to understand better what was behind it. Really an intro to the concept. Even when you calculate everything, there is a random layer that can have tremendous effect — in some fields more than others. e.g. weather prediction.
The Fabric of Reality: The Science of Parallel Universes Super interesting field. Hard to listen to and remain engaged when you don't have the fundamentals of quantum physics.
